Invincible is a show that has honestly become one of my favorite superhero stories overtime. The series maintaining its quality in storytelling three seasons in is not only a testament to its writing and character development, but also a testament to how dedicated the showrunners are to remaining loyal to the already great comic book source material. Everything that fans of this series have come to expect, such as the characters that we’ve come to know and the show’s unrelentingly brutal violence, are somehow elevated to unimaginable levels. Introducing a plethora of new characters such as the reluctant villain Powerplex or Mark’s little brother and protégé, Oliver, as well as exploring more thought provoking themes regarding the consequences/nuances of villainy are just a couple of the factors that bolster this season a bit above the others. I usually don’t gravitate towards stories that are this exceedingly violent or dark, however, what makes Invincible different from others is how it handles its darker elements in a much more serious way, taking into account how every character is affected, whether they’re superpowered or not. For that, I have a lot of respect for this show and I strongly recommend tuning in. Score: 9/10
